Competition for jobs is tough right now, so if you’re in the job market, you need all the help you can get. You need to be at the top of your game when it comes to your resume, interview skills, networking skills and knowing how to find the right opportunities.

Fortunately, the Internet is full of great resources and websites for job seekers. Here are a few of our favorite sites for job search tips and career planning.

CareeRealism
This site offers a wealth of tips for job seekers on all aspects of the job search. There are categories for new graduates, career changers, post-military job seekers and more.

USNews Money – Careers
This well written section of USNews holds up to the standards you’d expect from the publication. It is updated almost daily with new articles from top job search experts.

Mashable Jobs
The jobs section of the very popular Mashable website hosts current, up-to-date information on job searching, especially for those in the IT field. (Although the advice they offer is applicable for any field.)

Careersherpa
This blog is written by career expert Hannah Morgan. She likens the job search to climbing Mount Everest and offers to be your sherpa guide on the way to the summit. She knows her stuff and shares some very useful, insightful articles.

Recruiting and staffing companies are also great resources for job seekers. No only do they have established relationships with multiple employers, but they also have extensive knowledge of what it takes get the job.
